Exporting an XHTML version of a chapter to test the PDF Conversion
It is highly advisable to evaluate the conversion outcome from PDF to XHTML, particularly regarding font display. If the report's layout is meant to mirror the previous year's, this process can also serve to assess how potential modifications to content and layout might impact Textblock tagging. While this won't be an exact replica of the final result, it can provide insight into possible outcomes. Keep in mind that this should be conducted with the intended layout and as complete a draft of the text content as possible.
- Start by logging in to CtrlPrint, then expanding your Company folder and selecting the relevant project.
- Click on the context menu of the chapter you wish to test and select the option "Create XHTML File". This will begin the export of the XHTML version of the chapter.
- Click on the bell icon in the top right hand corner of CtrlPrint and then Download. Once the file is downloaded, you can then open the downloaded file in a web browser to see the results of the conversion from PDF to XHTML.
