Introduction to CtrlPrint Review

CtrlPrint Review is an additional collaboration feature that allows CtrlPrint users to comment on the layout and content of a document in a web browser. These comments can then be seen in our Review palette in InCopy/InDesign where they are updated in real time.

Components of CtrlPrint Review

Thumbails of the document pages are on the left hand panel. It makes it easy to navigate and to get an overview of the whole document.

The toolbar is located at the top of the page. The following tools are available:

  • Zoom   mceclip8.png
    To Zoom you can either click the plus or minus sign to zoom in and out, there is also a possibility to set the zoom level you want by choosing appropriate percentage. There is also keyboard shortcuts for adjusting the zoom :

    Ctrl / ⌘ Cmd together with pressing + or - on your keyboard to zoom in and out.

    Ctrl / ⌘ Cmd together with your scroll wheel to zoom in and out.Pinch-to-zoom on your trackpad to zoom in and out.

    Ctrl / ⌘ Cmd together with 0 on your keyboard to quickly reset the document zoom to 100 percent.

    Select and move comments.

    Add comment.

    Show or hide comments in the layout.

Comments are highlighted in the layout view. The comments panel is on the right-hand side of your browser. There you can also change the status and edit and reply to comments. In addition, you can filter comments by status. Depending on the status of the comments, the colour of the comments changes.


CtrlPrint Review within Adobe InDesign/InCopy

CtrPrint Review Palette allows users to view the comments made in Review in InDesign/InCopy. In addition, InDesign/InCopy users can change the status and reply to the comments made in Review.
