The XBRL Report Comparer provides a way to compare two versions of a report (the zip file within the submission folder of the ESEF report generated via the CtrlPrint platform). Please note that you need to have created two zip-files before you start using this function.
You can find this function in the top menu under Tools . The application will automatically detect changed values and added or removed facts. The results can be exported as an Excel file via the File menu in that window. Double-clicking on an entry in the results list will display a new window with more detailed information.
- Current Report = zip file 1
- New Report = zip file 2
- Old Value = value in zip file 1
- New Value = value in zip file 2
Differences in numerical values tend to be easy to identify whereas differences in a long text can be more difficult to detect. The two versions of the tagged area are displayed side by side and the differences are highlighted in different colours.
